Santa Girl Shantae (HGH-Style)

This is a requested “Costumed Shantae” drawing for Mr. Gilster262.



Hi-hi to anyone who is reading this!





So, this is Shantae, the hair-whipping, belly-dancing, half-genie guardian of Scuttle Town and the game developer WayForward’s overall mascot.

When I'm feeling depressed or unmotivated, my love for drawing tends to vanish with my feelings--but after coming across the Shantae: ½ Genie Hero Kickstarter, it felt like my artistic skills were breathed into with a new sense of enthusiasm, and so I wanted to try my hand at some fan-work of the character.

And so the seventh drawing I try my hand at features her dressed in red 'n' white attire resembling jolly old Saint Nick's outfit, except in a more feminine design. Thigh-high black boots with white fur trim, a shawl(?) covering her shoulders to match, silver bell earrings, mistletoe (or holly) on the signature hat; all that good stuff!

Anyway, it's supposed to be the happiest time of the year, so hopefully things around here will be a little more jollier.
