Super Princess Shantae (HGH-Style)

This is a requested “Costumed Shantae” drawing for



Hi-hi to anyone who is reading this!





So, this is Shantae, the hair-whipping, belly-dancing, half-genie guardian of Scuttle Town and the game developer WayForward’s overall mascot.

When I'm feeling depressed or unmotivated, my love for drawing tends to vanish with my feelings--but after coming across the Shantae: ½ Genie Hero Kickstarter, it felt like my artistic skills were breathed into with a new sense of enthusiasm, and so I wanted to try my hand at some fan-work of the character.

Thus the second drawing in the “Costumed Shantae” gallery has her dressed in the royal dress of the Mushroom Kingdom’s resident damsel-in-distress, Princess Peach, from the Japanese video game franchise, Nintendo’s Mario.

Working on this drawing was also lots of fun, and I’ve got plenty more requests to help keep me happily busy!

EDIT: Chose to change the title to Super Princess Shantae so that when I eventually get around to doing other princess-related requests, they'll be able to differentiate from this one. Hopefully.
